The role of development banks for climate and green finance in Africa
In the context of the evolution of the role of development banks in financing ecological transformation, the study is dedicated to the identification of critical points that help International financial institutions and development banks clarify key challenges and options for promoting sustainable development by injecting financial support to specific energy investment projects in Africa. The study considers some key challenges, including the importance of targeting analyses, perception and management of risk by the financial intermediaries that make up the financial system at local level, connection with the public institutions responsible for defining, updating and managing the legal and technical regulations that govern the evolution of innovative sectors, flexible mechanisms to respond to market developments and concerns.
