After a quick look at the evolution of gender policies from post-independence until 2011 and the presentation of some contextual data on the condition of women in Tunisia, the report focuses on the post-revolutionary period up to the present day, dwelling in particular on the processes that led to the definition and adoption of the National Plan of Action, its results and its criticalities. In the last paragraph, the paper formulates policy recommendations for Italy, in terms of supporting the WPS agenda in the country.
