The report presents the results of the research carried out in Sudan, Algeria and Italy, aimed at analysing the role played by women and their movements before, during and after the fall of the regimes of al-Bashir and Bouteflika. In its conclusions, the paper offers policy recommendations to Italy to steer future interventions on women empowerment in Sudan and Algeria.
