In 2026, CeSPI will conduct a study on Malian and Senegalese diasporas in Italy and their investment practices. The research is part of the Diaspora Remit Invest programme (Market Analysis and Feasibility Studies).

Diaspora Remit Invest was launched by IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development) / Financial Facility for Remittances (FFR) and is funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). The programme aims to enable Senegalese and Malian diasporas in Italy, together with their families, to strengthen their climate change adaptation strategies and resilience by maximizing the impact of their financial resources.

The study includes: a survey involving a sample of 700 individuals from Mali and Senegal; in-depth interviews and focus groups.
