Long-standing line of research originating from the recognition that the European Union has a leading role in the creation of a broader perspective, a development strategy and international cooperation.

The project's objective is that of promoting debate among Italian international cooperation actors and national institutions in touch with European ones on these topics, therefore providing inputs and analytical elaboration, in close collaboration with a group of prestigious European research institutes, mainly within the EADI framework.

In the last few years, scientific thought has mainly focused on the post 2015 development agenda, with the intent of contributing to the definition of a new framework for political actions directed at reducing extreme poverty, inequalities and environmental degradation.

Particularly, we have focused on:

  • building public-private partnerships;
  • definition of corresponding indicators;
  • integration of the economical, social, environmental and development dimensions, mainly in light of the challenges represented by climate change.
