International governance of the mixed flows bewteeen Europe and Africa
Financed by MAECI as established by ex.art. 2 Law 948/1982
The migrants' and refugees crisis is at the centre of the European political debate on migrations management.
The project retraces the EU migratory policies, particularly the increasing trend of outsourcing the migrations' management and the recent bilateral agreements of the EU with partner countries, assessing the ambiguities of an increasingly widespread approach which could transform in a tool for the containment of migrations, with a critical analysis of the EU approach to fight the migrations' deep root causes.
The project - realized with OBC Transeurope, FIERI and CENASS - has examined two case studies: Ethiopian flows on the Central-Mediterranean route and the implementation of the EU-Turkey agreement.
