The US is indispensable in the Western Balkans

With EU enlargement back on the political agenda, the West has an opportunity to revitalise its policy towards the Western Balkans. According to the authors, in order for this to happen, it is essential that the United States openly support the accession process, contributing to efforts to reduce tensions in the region.
