News: Serbia will boycott EU-Western Balkans Summit

2 December 2022

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has announced that the country will boycott the EU-Western Balkans Summit on 6 December in Tirana. The summit will bring together the leaders of the two blocs to discuss European enlargement and other issues relating to the Balkan region. The reasons that led Vucic to boycott the Summit are to be found in the critical positions taken by the European Union regarding Russian-Serbian relations and the recent opening announced by the representatives of the Union towards the liberalization of Kosovo visas.
