News: Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Western Balkans and the "Friends of the Western Balkans" Group in Rome
The meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Western Balkans and the "Friends of the Western Balkans" Group (Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovakia, Greece, and Slovenia) was held in Rome. The meeting, chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, also included the High Representative for EU Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, and the Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos.
There have been two working sessions: the first on “Preserving common security: raising the level of cooperation with the Western Balkans,” and the second on “Accelerating the European integration process of the Western Balkans: common priorities for the future.”
The goal of the ministerial meeting is to strengthen coordination on objectives and priorities to pursue in 2025 regarding EU-Balkans cooperation, European integration, and security and development in the Balkan region.
