News: Local Elections in Serbia: SNS Wins All 10 Municipalities Voting
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced the victory of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in all 10 municipalities voting in the March 30 local elections, describing the result as a strong political mandate. However, independent observers reported widespread irregularities, including violence, intimidation, violations of ballot secrecy, and organized transportation of voters. Clashes and attacks were recorded in several cities, along with reports of biased media coverage in favor of the government. While Vučić attributed tensions to the opposition, monitoring organizations raised serious concerns about the integrity of the electoral process, in a political context marked by protests and a still fragmented opposition.
