News: Italy allocates more than €2.1 million for technical cooperation projects through the CEI

Italy has announced a new commitment of more than €2.1 million for eight technical cooperation projects financed through the CEI Fund, one of the main operational instruments of the Central European Initiative.
The new funding will support Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine, as well as a regional project for the Western Balkans. The planned initiatives include support for the energy transition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the development of the biomethane market in Serbia, improvements to motorway tunnel safety in Montenegro, the modernisation of the railway sector in North Macedonia, technical assistance for a waste-management programme in Moldova, support for investments in the water sector in Ukraine, and assistance for agri-food trade in the Western Balkans.
