News: European Peace Facility: Council adopts second assistance measure for Albania

The Council has adopted the second bilateral assistance measure under the European Peace Facility.
The European Peace Facility was established in 2021 to finance actions under the common foreign and security policy aimed at conflict prevention and the strengthening of international security and stability. The first bilateral assistance measure, worth €13 million and aimed at strengthening the capacities of the Albanian armed forces, was adopted in 2024. One year later, it was followed by the second measure, worth €15 million, bringing the total amount of support provided to Tirana to €28 million.
