Bosnia and Herzegovina, critical raw materials and neocolonial appetites

The Vareš project represents a major foreign investment for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Yet, while the country is committed to promoting so-called “green extractivism,” many raise doubts about its actual ability to protect its natural resources and its citizens from the potential harmful effects of mining activities.
