News: Montenegro, Working group on the Accession Treaty established

A working group on the Accession Treaty for Montenegro has officially been established. The announcement was made by European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, who stated that “if Montenegro continues on this path, it will be possible to achieve the objective of EU membership by 2028.” She added that, in practical terms, “we could conclude the technical part of the negotiations by the end of this year or at the beginning of next year,” referring to Montenegro’s accession process and the progress made by Podgorica toward European integration.
