News: Bosnia: Karan (SNDS) elected new President of Republika Srpska

Sinisa Karan, member of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNDS), has been confirmed as the new President of Republika Srpska (RS).

Karan had previously won an early election in November 2025, but the results were partially annulled by the Central Electoral Commission due to widespread fraud and vote manipulation, necessitating a rerun in seventeen municipalities.

A long-time ally of former President Milovan Dodik, Karan represents continuity in the Serb-Bosnian leadership.
