News: Montenegro: another chapter provisionally closed in accession negotiations

Montenegro has provisionally closed accession negotiations on Chapter 31 (financial control).

To date, Montenegro has opened all 33 chapters within the framework of its EU accession talks, closing five of them: Chapter 3 (right of establishment and freedom to provide services); Chapter 4 (free movement of capital); Chapter 6 (company law); Chapter 11 (agriculture and rural development); and Chapter 13 (fisheries).

The agreements can only be considered final once an overall agreement covering all chapters has been concluded.
