News: Kosovo Elections: Kurti Wins, But Falls Short of an Absolute Majority

Outgoing Prime Minister Albin Kurti wins the elections, but his party fails to secure an absolute majority and will now need to form a solid coalition to govern.
The Prime Minister’s party, Vetëvendosje (Self-Determination), received 41.05% of the votes, while the Partia Demokratike e Kosovës (Democratic Party of Kosovo) follows with 22.26%, Lidhja Demokratike e Kosovës (Democratic League of Kosovo) with 17.6%, and Aleanca për Ardhmërinë e Kosovës (Alliance for the Future of Kosovo) with 7.6%.
The voter turnout was 40.6% – a decline from 48.8% in 2021.
